Lehigh Valley golf, volleyball and soccer have kicked off their seasons

Penn State Lehigh Valley's golf, women's volleyball and men's soccer opened their seasons. The golf team placed second at the Blue Invitational tournament; women's volleyball came up short in the season opener against Cedar Crest College, but recovered to sweep Lehigh Carbon Community College; and men's soccer fell to Berkeley College.

Tina Q. Richardson, chancellor of Penn State Lehigh Valley, served as guest coach during Monday night's women's basketball game against Penn State Worthington Scranton. The team won 85 to 35."We want to thank Dr. Richardson for being our guest coach and providing the team with an inspirational pep talk before the game and sitting on the bench during the game.
