Liz K. Kleintop, economics and business professor at Moravian College, visited Penn State Lehigh Valley on Oct. 12 to speak to students, faculty and staff during National Coming Out Week. Her 60-minute presentation offered those in the campus community insight, facts and personal experience as someone belonging to the LGBT community.
The Ronald K. De Long Gallery at Penn State Lehigh Valley will present “Thomas John Shillea, View Camera 1977-2016” from Oct. 24 to Dec. 9. An artist reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 27 at Penn State Lehigh Valley, and a gallery talk by the artist will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 14. Both the events and the exhibit are free and open to the public.
More than 40 Penn State Lehigh Valley students attended an etiquette dinner on Oct. 20 at Lehigh Country Club in Allentown. A diverse group of more than 20 Penn State alumni and staff professionals were seated with the students to provide advice on professional conversation and proper exchanges for future business lunches and dinners that students may attend.
The Penn State Lehigh Valley women's volleyball team advanced to the program’s first-ever Final Four appearance in the Penn State University Athletic Conference tournament.
Four people and 20 alumni groups were honored by the Penn State Alumni Association for their inspiring work with one of 14 Volunteer Awards in October at The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel. The Lehigh Valley Alumni Society specifically was honored for Penn State Lehigh Valley Day.
