The Virtual Reality team were inspired from Villanova University’s CAVE and Duke University’s DiVE to suggest an interactive environment to be used for educational enhancement, vocational opportunities and recreational simulations.

Team Chalk Talk presented their idea for an area for students to write their ideas, supportive messages, advice and shout outs to provide a social support system and educational outlet.

Penn State Lehigh Valley students raise money for a classmate to travel abroad

The Penn State Lehigh Valley campus hosted "We Are ... One World and We Are ... Penn State Lehigh Valley,” a community-service project that came out of a class assignment for HDFS 287 Intercultural Community-Building taught by Sandy Kile, instructor in communication arts and sciences. The goal was to raise a total of $500 to put toward one Penn State Lehigh Valley student attending a spring 2017 short-term study abroad program.

Penn State Lehigh Valley senior Jordan Young, a Freedom High School graduate, is currently interning in Liberty High School's athletic department. Young will graduate in the spring with a rehabilitation and human services degree.

Uzo Acholonu, a senior information science and technology major, learned valuable lessons while interning at Johnson & Johnson. "I learned how to speak up when I had ideas, questions or insights," said Acholonu.

Penn State Lehigh Valley student Carlo Acerra, of Bethlehem, won an Emmy in the Magazine Program/Special category for his editing work on FireRock Productions' "Nazareth: Resonating Through Time."
