Students involved in undergraduate research projects at Penn State Scranton and other regional University campuses and local universities had a chance to present their research projects during two annual academic events this month, both of which were held virtually due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Julie Ealy, associate professor of chemistry at Penn State Lehigh Valley; Eric Hudson, associate professor of physics in Eberly College of Science; and Kirwin Shaffer, professor of Latin American studies at Penn State Berks; have received the Alumni/Student Award for Excellence in Teaching and have been named 2021 Penn State Teaching Fellows.
An Invent Penn State Venture & IP Conference panel, “Deconstruct Status Quo Thinking to Drive Innovation in Your Company,” will use interactive exercises to help participants identify subtle status quo thinking and emerge with a process leading to true innovation. The virtual panel session will take place from 10:40-11:30 a.m. on April 16.
Students from Penn State Lehigh Valley organized an online discussion with subject matter experts to bring attention to the rise in domestic violence brought about by the pandemic.
