CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — Penn State Lehigh Valley has announced the following new faculty and staff hires:
Emily Burns has joined Penn State Lehigh Valley as a part-time lecturer in corporate communication. Burns earned a master of education in higher education from Penn State and a bachelor of arts in communications and public relations from Susquehanna University. She currently serves as the digital marketing director at a marketing agency based in Washington, D.C. Burns resides in Macungie, Pennsylvania.
Joe N. Garofalo has joined Penn State Lehigh Valley as a part-time instructor in the project management certificate program. Garofalo earned a master of business administration from Lehigh University and a bachelor of science in mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester. He currently serves as a program manager at Brooks Instrument. Garofalo resides in Lower Saucon Township, Pennsylvania.
Teri Haddad has joined Penn State Lehigh Valley as business development director. Haddad earned a doctor of education in educational leadership and change from Fielding Graduate University, as well as a master of education in English and a bachelor of arts in politics from DeSales University. She previously served as chief learning officer at PBS39. Haddad resides in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Pam Kiser was named business development assistant for Lehigh Valley LaunchBox at Penn State Lehigh Valley. Kiser earned a master of library and information science from the University of Texas at Austin, as well as a bachelor of arts in American history and secondary education from Cedar Crest College. She previously served as an administrative support assistant for Academic Advising and Career Services at Penn State Lehigh Valley. Kiser currently resides in Breinigsville, Pennsylvania.
Elizabeth Nelson has joined Penn State Lehigh Valley as the reference and instruction librarian. Nelson earned a master of library and information studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, as well as a bachelor of arts in philosophy, English and classical studies from the University of Delaware. She previously served as the reference and instruction librarian at Penn State Abington. Nelson currently resides in Easton, Pennsylvania.
Larissa R. Noto has joined Penn State Lehigh Valley as a part-time lecturer in yoga. Noto earned a juris doctor degree from Seton Hall University School of Law, as well as a bachelor of arts in political science, history and education from Muhlenberg College. She earned a human resources certificate from Cornell University’s School of Industrial/Labor Relations. Noto also holds multiple certifications as a yoga instructor. Noto currently teaches political science and law courses at Muhlenberg College, as well as yoga at Northampton Community College, and at a number of yoga studios in the region. She also serves as a parent support provider for Guide By Your Side/Hands and Voices of PA. Noto currently resides in Breinigsville, Pennsylvania.
Alyson C. Patascher has joined Penn State Lehigh Valley as a part-time lecturer in health policy and administration, and in biobehavioral health. Patascher earned a master of public health and a bachelor of science in exercise science from East Stroudsburg University. She also is currently teaching health studies and public health courses at East Stroudsburg University and at Northampton Community College. Patascher currently resides in Effort, Pennsylvania.
Suzanne Stianche has joined Penn State Lehigh Valley as the events specialist. Stianche earned a master of business administration with a concentration in marketing from Kutztown University, as well as a bachelor of arts in English and business management from Moravian College. She previously served as the national sales manager at Discover Lehigh Valley. Stianche currently resides in Nesquehoning, Pennsylvania.
