To be considered a First-year Applicant you have earned a high school diploma or equivalent and earned less than 18 credits from another institution. (You may have participated in dual enrollment).
To apply to Penn State Lehigh Valley, you must first create a “MyPennState” account.
The best way to apply is to start by creating a profile through your MyPennState account. This becomes your personal portal where you’ll find your application and Self-Reported Academic Record, check the status of your application, receive your admissions decision, and accept your offer!
Remember to start early! To apply for Early Action, students must submit a complete application (the application itself, the Self- Reported Academic Record [SRAR]; and optional standardized test scores [official scores from either the SAT or ACT]) by the deadline of November 1.
Penn State University uses a "rolling admissions" process, meaning there is no deadline to apply. However, it is in your best interest to apply early!
If you have visited or attended a virtual program at Lehigh Valley and want the application fee waived, please e-mail [email protected] prior to submitting your application. You can apply to Penn State via MyPennState and The Common Application.
To successfully apply, you must:
Submit the online application
Complete the Self-Reported Academic Record section of the online application
SAT & ACT (Optional):
If applying for admission to Penn State for the summer or fall terms 2021, the SAT/ACT scores are optional as part of your evaluation for admission.
