Denise T. Ogden
Professor, Marketing, Penn State University
Dr. Denise Ogden is in her 19th year at Penn State University’s Lehigh Valley Campus and is a professor of marketing. Upon arriving in Pennsylvania in 1989 she joined D&B (formerly the Dun & Bradstreet Corporation) where she gained experience in various positions. There her accomplishments included the development and implementation of a diversity training program as well as marketing training. She also won two national awards for outstanding performance. Prior to D&B, Denise worked in Public Relations for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation (Colorado).
In 2003 and 2013, Ogden was the recipient of the Lehigh Valley Campus Teaching Excellence Award. In addition, Ogden was awarded the prestigious George W. Atherton Award for Excellence in Teaching. She was featured in the May/June 2017 issue of Lehigh Valley Magazine in a segment about the area’s top professors. Her research interests include integrated marketing communication (IMC), experiential marketing and retailing. Denise is active in the Council for Retail and Sales and enjoys coaching student teams in case competitions. She is the co-author of texts in retailing, marketing and integrated marketing communication and has authored or co-authored numerous research papers. She is married with three grown children and four grandchildren. She enjoys cooking, reading, and writing.
Charleon Jeffries
Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the Division of Development and Alumni Relations, Penn State University
Charleon Jeffries is the inaugural Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the Division of Development and Alumni Relations at Penn State, joining the Division in May of 2018. Ms. Jeffries began her career at Penn State in 2002 in the College of Education’s Office of Multicultural Programs before becoming the University’s diversity trainer in 2013. Currently, Charleon volunteers as a member of the Women’s Philanthropic Advisory Board and serves as a board member for Centre County’s Centre Safe.
