Emerging Health Professionals with LCTI
Emerging Health Professionals program is a must-consider for current juniors who will be rising high school seniors interested in the medical professions. This intensive, 12th grade, dual-enrollment program is designed to give students a head start on college and expose them to a variety of health care careers through hands-on training and clinical study at Health care facilities. To be eligible for this distinguished program, students must:
- Reside in one of Lehigh County’s nine school districts
- Current Junior with a GPA of 3.0 or better and an excellent attendance record
- Have completed biology and chemistry, each with grades of B or better
- Have either scheduled trigonometry or completed it with a grade of B or better
- Meet academic prerequisites for Penn State Lehigh Valley
Course schedule:
Fall – BIOL 162 & 162 – Human Anatomy & Physiology 1
Spring – BIOL 163 & 164 - Human Anatomy & Physiology 2
Steps to Apply:
Step 1:
Complete application on Lehigh Career & Technical Institute website and notify your high school counselor of your application submission

Step 2:
Request official transcript from your high school counselor and letter of recommendation from your counselor, teacher, or principal
These materials must be sent directly from your high school to LCTI
Step 3:
In February, you will be notified by LCTI of your application status. If admitted to a PSU session, you will need to complete the Non-Degree High School Dual Enrollment Form
