PSU-LV to host Homecoming Week Sept. 19 – 23
Penn State Lehigh Valley alumni, students and community are invited to campus to celebrate their Penn State pride at the first official WE ARE Lehigh Valley Homecoming Week. Events will be taking place around the Lehigh Valley during the week of Sept. 19.
Below is a list of fun, family-friendly events for the Penn State community to participate in during PSU-LV Homecoming Week. Follow Penn State Lehigh Valley on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for updates on all events.
Welcome Back Wine and Cheese Reception, 5:30-7 p.m., Sept. 19, Penn State Lehigh Valley, room 135: Kick off Homecoming week with a wine and cheese reception with alumni, faculty and staff. PSU-LV alums, come reconnect with faculty and staff members! PSU alums from other campuses, this is your chance to come visit PSU-LV campus! Women’s Volleyball Match, 7 p.m. on Sept. 19, Cedar Crest College: Cheer on our women’s volleyball team as they take on Penn State Wilkes Barre at Cedar Crest College! This is event is free and open to the public.
Suite Seats. Sweet Cause. Flyers in the Valley-- Penn State Lehigh Valley and Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) Collective Impact Scholarship Fundraiser, 7:05 p.m., Sept. 20, PPL Center: The Philadelphia Flyers will be back in the Lehigh Valley facing off against the New York Islanders. All proceeds benefit the Collective Impact Scholarship Fund for students attending PSU-LV and LCCC. Donate to the Collective Impact Scholarship Fund>>
Homecoming Soccer Game, 4 p.m., Sept. 21, Penn State Lehigh Valley: Soccer is the newest sport to be added to Penn State Lehigh Valley’s athletic program. Watch as the PSU-LV soccer team battles Central Penn College on the Lehigh Valley campus soccer fields. This is event is free and open to the public.
Outdoor Movie Night, Approximately 8:00 p.m., Sept. 22, Penn State Lehigh Valley: Bring a blanket to enjoy Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast under the stars! This event is free and open to the public and will begin at dusk. Arrive early! The first 50 people to arrive will get a foldable PSU chair! 1 chair per person or 2 per family.
"The Music of James Bond," 6:00 p.m. VIP reception, 7:30 p.m. show, Sept. 23, Miller Symphony Hall: The Allentown Symphony Orchestra and guest soloist Rachel York will be performing music from five decades of James Bond films. PSU-LV is hosting an exclusive VIP reception before the show. Sponsorship proceeds benefit the PSU-LV Scholarship Fund.
