The Educational Opportunity Program provides an array of services to support first-year, first-generation, socio-economically disadvantaged university students. These programs and services are strategically designed to create an environment that fosters a sense of community, promotes integration into Penn State University, encourages use of campus resources, and guides students to achieve their academic, career, and personal goals.

The mission of the Educational Opportunity Program at Penn State Lehigh Valley is to provide access to eligible first-year students focused on attaining high academic and personal achievement through creative opportunities for participants in an active and supportive learning environment.
Global Programs' fall 2017 travel grants have been awarded in three grant categories: Faculty Travel Grants, Transformational Travel Grants, and Graduate Student Travel Grants. Based on the review committees’ evaluations and recommendations, 30 applicants were selected for funding support. The awardees will travel to 19 countries on four continents.
