Students, faculty and staff participated in a holiday ugly sweater contest on Dec. 7. The winners were awarded gift cards and Penn State Lehigh Valley swag.
The Winter White Out event starts with the women’s basketball game at 5:00 p.m. and continues with the men’s game starting at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are playing Penn State DuBois.
The newly formed Health and Human Services Club, advised by Julie Ealy, associate professor of chemistry, sponsored a bus trip to Washington D.C. on Nov. 19 to visit a variety of Smithsonian museums. More than 40 students enjoyed the day-long trip to visit the museums and monuments. The trip was coordinated by Club Officer Zunish Saqib and funded through the Student Activity Fee.
Sandy Kile, instructor in communication arts and sciences at Penn State Lehigh Valley, is teaching the CAS100 course, which is Penn State's public speaking class, at Roberto Clemente Charter High School to high school seniors.
Dual enrollment was created as a way to improve college readiness among high school students. RCCS seniors Lynette Nieves and Alejandro Martinez are taking a dual enrollment course offered by Penn State Lehigh Valley on-site at their high school.
A special Winter White Out courtside tailgate event is set to take place between the Penn State Lehigh Valley women’s and men’s basketball games at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3 at Stabler Arena in Bethlehem.
