In the spirit of the holiday season, a Penn State alumnus donated a Christmas tree to display and decorate in Centre Hall. Given the diverse campus community, in addition to the Christmas tree, a menorah in celebration of Hanukkah and a kinara in celebration of Kwanzaa are also on display. Lehigh Valley campus students, faculty and staff decorated the tree on Dec. 2. Everyone was encouraged to bring ornaments and symbols that represent their culture and heritage to add to the community tree.
The healthcare industry represents nearly 18 percent of the entire United States economy and is still growing at a rapid rate, creating the need for qualified professionals to handle the management, business and policy aspects of the field. With a bachelor's degree in Health Policy and Administration (HPA) from Penn State Lehigh Valley, students will be prepared to enter into this growing field with experience from related internships.
With a bachelor of science in Rehabilitation and Human Services (RHS) from Penn State Lehigh Valley, graduates are prepared to work with clients across the lifespan who face psychosocial, physical, mental, educational, vocational, and recreational challenges.
Sixteen faculty members representing various campuses, colleges, and General Education areas at Penn State, have been named General Education Faculty Fellows. The General Education Faculty Fellows Program is a new initiative of the recently created Office for General Education.
