Penn State Lehigh Valley professor part of team that named new dinosaur species

The ferocious Tyrannosaurus rex lived between approximately 68 to 66 million years ago, but a team of researchers that includes a Penn State Lehigh Valley professor has identified a new species of Tyrannosaurus that dates back even further — essentially an ancestor of the fearsomely named "tyrant lizard king.” They published their finding in Scientific Reports.

Penn State Lehigh Valley Music Room enhancements made possible by GivingTuesday

As a part of Penn State’s 10th GivingTuesday event on Dec. 3, 2024, members of the Penn State Lehigh Valley community celebrated the milestone year by contributing more than $3,000 to the focus of the initiative, the Jerome and Martha Markowitz Music Room. The amount raised is being matched by an anonymous donor, for a total of $7,662 dollars raised.
