Penn State Lehigh Valley (PSU-LV) and global investment firm, Invesco will host an interactive Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank webinar from noon to 1:15 p.m. Oct. 15. Panelists will discuss current economic policies and what investors can expect to see in bond markets. Ryotaro Tashiro of the Philadelphia Federal Reserve will provide updates on economic conditions and an outlook on the U.S. economy, and Stephanie Larosiliere, head of municipal strategies and development, Invesco, will address the impact of economic policies on the Municipal Bond Market.
Other featured panelists and guests include senior Invesco adviser and former Penn State and Rams football player, Mike Guman; PSU-LV Chancellor Tina Q. Richardson; Mark Gruskin, PSU-LV associate director of academic affairs; and Maung Min, PSU-LV director of business programs.
“This opportunity to hear directly from a member of the Federal Reserve Bank and other leading investment experts is part of our efforts to create an immersive experience for our business and finance students – many of whom are completing their bachelor’s degree at our Lehigh Valley-based campus. We have the distinct benefit of being able to draw upon the largest alumni network in the world to help us make these connections. In this case, special thanks to Mike Guman, Penn State alumnus ’80 for giving our PSU partners, and most especially, our students, a front-row seat in the national finance arena,” Richardson said.
Invitations were provided to Penn State Lehigh Valley and surrounding campus’ students, members of the PSU-LV alumni association, Lehigh Valley LaunchBox members, as well as investors, in addition to being opened to the general public.
“We’re thrilled to join Penn State and the Philadelphia Federal Reserve for this event and look forward to the discussion with students and investors. Changes in economic policy may reshape how we think about the municipal bond market, and we’re excited to share our expertise with this mix of seasoned investment professionals and the next generation of finance alike.”
