CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — Penn State Lehigh Valley, in conjunction with Lehigh Valley LaunchBox, has announced a FAM (familiarization) Tour on Thursday, April 27 for representatives from Lehigh Valley businesses. The tour will include a peek inside the innovation centers at Penn State University Park campus, as well as an invitation to the Penn State College of Engineering’s Learning Factory Design Showcase at the Bryce Jordan Center.

The tour will depart the Lehigh Valley campus at 7 a.m. and return at approximately 6:45 p.m. The cost is $30 per person and breakfast is provided on the bus. Participants can also enjoy lunch at the Bryce Jordan Center with sponsors and project teams.

The showcase allows participating students to display their projects, which will be judged by a panel of industry experts. The event is the culmination of 15-weeks of work by the 130 project teams.

Attendees will also hear details on how they can submit projects to the Learning Factory.

"If you have a problem that needs solving and do not have the staff or resources to work on a solution, this is a not only a great time- and cost-saving opportunity, but you have the benefit of getting a team of motivated senior students to bring new solutions to your project,” said Michael Krajsa, faculty liaison for Lehigh Valley LaunchBox. “It can also be a great recruiting tool for future employees."

Interested attendees can register here.
