The Penn State Lehigh Valley Alumni Society is hosting a pre-wrestling match lunch on Dec. 3 at Queen City BBQ in Allentown.

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — Penn State Wrestling fans are invited to a unique opportunity before the Penn State versus Lehigh University wrestling match on Sunday, Dec. 3 in downtown Allentown. The delicious lunch featuring special guests starts at 12 p.m. at Queen City BBQ (27 N. Seventh Street in Allentown). Famed Penn State Wrestling Coach John Fritz will be there to hang out and talk sports with Penn Staters.

Fritz was a National Champion, a three-time All American, a long-time assistant coach to Rich Lorenzo and a head coach for the Nittany Lions. As head coach, Fritz coached a number of National Champions, numerous All-Americans and was named NWCA National Coach of the Year.

The cost to attend is $25 per person. Attendees will enjoy unlimited BBQ, side dishes and one non-alcoholic beverage. The event, hosted by the Penn State Lehigh Valley Alumni Society, will end at 1:30 p.m. in time for fans to head to the nearby PPL Center for the 2 p.m. match.

“We hope to see all of the Penn State Wrestling fans at Queen City BBQ before the match against Lehigh,” said Diane McAloon, alumni coordinator at Penn State Lehigh Valley. “Grab your friends and join your hometown campus, Penn State Lehigh Valley, to come eat, relax and talk sports with John Fritz!”
