Penn State awarded more than 14,000 degrees to graduates during spring 2023 commencement ceremonies held at the University's campuses statewide May 5-7. The following is a selection of photos highlighting Penn State commencement across Pennsylvania.
Penn State Schuylkill hosted the 2022 Penn State Eastern Regional Undergraduate Research Symposium on Saturday, April 23. Students from Penn State Abington, Brandywine, Hazleton, Lehigh Valley, Schuylkill, Scranton and York presented their work, with Schuylkill students placing first in two of the four disciplinary categories.
Penn State celebrated the accomplishments of graduates during its spring 2021 commencement ceremonies May 7 through May 9. This spring the University awarded approximately 14,400 diplomas to students University-wide who are completing associate, baccalaureate, master, law, doctoral and medical degrees. All figures listed are estimates as of April 5; totals do not include the Pennsylvania College of Technology.
Penn State Lehigh Valley's annual commencement ceremony was held on Saturday, May 8 at the Lehigh Valley campus. The campus awarded associate and bachelor’s degrees to 72 students. The featured speaker for the event was Dr. Suresh Nair, physician-in-chief of Lehigh Valley Cancer Institute (class of 1982). Lehigh Valley Corporate communication student Savannah Malesky also spoke during the ceremony as the 2021 Student Marshal.
Lehigh Valley LaunchBox is hosting a virtual educational events series showcasing how various business segments are pivoting and adapting in response to COVID-19. The series will focus on women entrepreneurs and how they are handling these challenges.
