The psychology program at Penn State Lehigh Valley gets students ready to take on the world. Students have opportunities to travel overseas to study with other universities and complete internships to gain experience. With three degree options, the program prepares graduates to enter careers in fields with a high demand for qualified candidates, or to make a seamless transition to graduate school.
Every November for the past several years, the Office of Student Affairs spearheads the Annual Penn State Lehigh Valley Thanksgiving Food Drive to benefit the Sixth Street Shelter in Allentown. This year our efforts will help feed 47 families residing at the shelter. This community service project is a true collaborative effort between our students, faculty and staff.Each of our clubs and organizations donates a specific type and amount of canned or boxed goods. One of our student groups, the LAN club, goes above and beyond each year, donating over 100 canned items.
About 200 students from the eastern region campuses attended Penn State’s fifth annual Eastern Region Career Expo & Networking Event at Penn State Lehigh Valley’s campus in Center Valley on Oct. 17.
St. Luke's Reading Rocks Program is supported by a book drive held by Penn State Lehigh Valley and Penn State Lehigh Valley Benefiting THON. Campus Advisory Board Chair Howard Kulp then donates a dollar per book collected to THON in order to support kids fighting cancer and to motivate everyone to collect books for kids who benefit from the Reading Rocks program.
