Lehigh Valley holds spring 2022 commencement ceremony

Penn State Lehigh Valley held its spring 2022 commencement ceremony Saturday, May 7. A total of 120 students completed their associate or bachelor’s degree during the academic year. Of those, 92 walked at the ceremony on the campus grounds, which was presided over by Chancellor Tina Q. Richardson and Director of Academic Affairs Anibal Torres Bernal.

Penn State Lehigh Valley students in Associate Teaching Professor of Arts Administration Elizabeth Flaherty's Intersections Between Art and Psychology course recently collaborated on a chalk mandala created on the campus grounds. The initiative was led by student Angi Sayid for her final research project.

Three students presented four research presentations at Penn State Schuylkill's spring Undergraduate Research and Creative Accomplishments Symposium, held on campus on Wednesday, April 27.

Left: Amanda Charowsky presented "Sabers and Shortguns: The Continental Cavalry in the Philadelphia and Saratoga Campaigns." Faculty adviser: Harold Aurand Jr.

Center: Carol Rayos presented "Analysis of Government Laws and Ethics in Celebrity Cases of Whistleblowing from 1971-2021," with faculty adviser Juyoung Song. Rayos also presented "It is Time to raise the JLWOP Bar to 21 and Up," with faculty adviser Ronald Kelly.
