In April 2018, Ealy, Yazgi and Abouomar (from left to right) spent a Friday afternoon at the Lehigh Valley campus using fluorescence spectrometry to assess the binding affinity of different molecules to RBP. To measure the fluorescence, they utilized a micro cuvette for the chemicals as part of their wet bench research. Binding of a molecule to the protein occurs when there is no more fluorescence.
