PSU-LV Lion-Hearted Initiative

In the first year of the Lion-Hearted Initiative, Penn State Lehigh Valley plans to enroll 15 students. The goal of the program is to support first-year, first-time students.

Gutgold, professor of communication arts and sciences at Penn State Lehigh Valley, received one of the Alumni/Student Awards for Excellence in Teaching, and Gutgold was named a 2018 Penn State Teaching Fellows. Our Lives Matter quilt

The Pennsylvania Recovery Organization Alliance provided a quilt entitled “Our Lives Matter,” which depicted people lost to addiction, each panel of which was created by the victim’s family. This was displayed in Centre Hall at the Lehigh Valley campus during RHS day.

Time to Remember, Time to Act banner

Voices for Change provided a banner entitled “Time to Remember, Time to Act,” which depicted local residents who have died from overdoses. This hung in Centre Hall at the Lehigh Valley campus for attendees of RHS day to view.
