Naseeba Saeed, 2019 Eric A. and Josephine Walker Award winner, celebrated during Penn State Lehigh Valley's annual commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 4 at ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks in Bethlehem. The campus awarded associate and bachelor’s degrees to 111 students. The featured speaker for the event was PPL Corporation CEO and President Bill Spence (class of 1979). Lehigh Valley business student Samuel Azzalina also spoke during the ceremony as the 2019 Student Marshal.
Penn State University Libraries awarded its Undergraduate Research Award: Excellence in Information Literacy to students at nearly all undergraduate Penn State campuses in April, honoring 97 undergraduate students as well as eight graduate students participating in their respective campus-wide research exhibition events.

After receiving her diploma from Chancellor Kristin Woolever, Penn State Brandywine biology graduate Maddie Malfara took a moment to thank family, friends and faculty members for their support. In addition to being a member of the campus' softball team, Malfara was a Schreyer Honors Scholar who conducted research alongside Assistant Professor of Biology Megan Povelones.
Graduates of the Penn State Lehigh Valley Class of 2019 were honored at a Senior Send-Off Brunch on Sunday, April 28, at the Centennial Catering and Conference Center in Center Valley. More than 100 people attended the event, including Penn State Lehigh Valley faculty and staff, members of the Lehigh Valley Alumni Society Board of Directors, graduates, families and friends.
