The Penn State Lehigh Valley group of students and faculty who traveled to Puerto Rico over Spring Break stopped at a lookout before heading into El Yunque National Forest.
Alan Janesch, director of Penn State Grassroots Network visited the PSU-LV political society and SGA for the event Speak Up for Penn State on March 16 at the Lehigh Valley campus. This event promoted the upcoming Penn State Capital Day event and encouraged students to attend and use their voice in education. It highlighted the current issues to Penn State in government and gave students the necessary tools and tips to be an advocate. Penn State Capital Day is on March 22

Flint Hill Farms in Coopersburg was the location for day three on March 8 of the Mini Days of Caring. Penn State Lehigh Valley students assisted with organizing, and painting of the blacksmith shop, which will soon be used as a teaching classroom for the local students who visit Flint Hill farms. Students also assisted in stacking wood and helped with general farm clean-up.
Penn State Lehigh Valley students went to the Sixth Street Shelter in Allentown on March 7 to help distribute food to those who rely on weekly food distributions from the shelter; restock the shelves at the food pantry; organize donation shelves for resident apartments and help clean the child care and play room.
As part of the Take the Lead program, Girl Scout McKenzie H., a Southern Lehigh High School sophomore, spent Feb. 28 shadowing Chancellor Tina Q. Richardson to see what a day in the life is like for a chancellor.
Penn State Lehigh Valley women's basketball team finished with a record of 21-4, which is the best record in campus history. The team achieved many honors and received many recognitions.
