Matt Baranoski (Left) and Bobby Lea (Right) are two former Penn State Lehigh Valley track cyclists and the only two U.S. men who qualified to compete in track cycling events at the Summer Games in Rio De Janeiro in August.
Matt Baranoski, who was the youngest USA Cycling Elite National Champion, qualified for his first Olympic Games and competed in the Keirin event in Rio De Janeiro in August.
Lea and Baranoski were welcomed home by the Penn State Lehigh Valley Alumni Society during a special Blue and White Night event on August 26 at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center.
Over 200 guests came out to welcome Bobbby Lea and Matt Baranoski home on August 26 at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center. The special Blue and White Night event was held during the Madison Cup.
The University will hold a Town Hall meeting 3-5 p.m. Sept. 28 in the Pavilion Theatre at University Park. The meeting will be livestreamed and available for all Penn State campuses to view.
