The De Long Gallery greets visitors to Lehigh Valley's campus from its new location on the first floor, where it moved in 2024. The current space has more than 100 feet of wall space to display pieces and exhibitions.
An intentional art presence was first conceived in the early 2000s, but there wasn’t room for it. It wasn’t until the Lehigh Valley campus moved to its current home in 2009 that the idea could grow.
The De Long Gallery will celebrate its 15th anniversary this year from its new location. The gallery continues to serve as a community space centered on arts education and appreciation, featuring art from students and national or regional professionals.
The De Long Gallery is open to the public, but hours may change depending on semester. Each year, the gallery runs two major exhibitions and a series of smaller installations.
The De Long Gallery's current exhibit is focused on American folk art, which has brought in plenty of visitors from around the eastern United States. Displays include textiles and artifacts, as well as portraits.
