Penn State Lehigh Valley's Department of Continuing Education and Outreach will begin its spring professional development offerings in early January 2017. Local professionals have the opportunity to study for certification exams in two areas: project management and human resources.
Project Management begins Jan. 9. This program consists of four course modules, each one is five weeks in length, which covers the terminology, concepts and calculations used by Project Management Institute (PMI). All four courses are PMI approved for continuing education credits. There will be a separate cost for each module. Each module is $589. Classes are held on consecutive Mondays 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the Center Valley campus, 2809 Saucon Valley Road, Center Valley, Pa., 18034. SHRM Learning System is for human resource professionals who wish to learn more about human resource practice or certify for the SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) CP® (Certified Professional) or SHRM S-CP® (Senior Certified Professional) will run Saturday, Jan. 28, Feb. 4, 11, and 18, March 4, 11, and 18, April 1, 8, 22, and 29, and May 6. The cost is $1,319 and includes all course materials. Classes will be held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Center Valley campus, 2809 Saucon Valley Road, Center Valley, Pa., 18034.
