Next Lehigh Valley LaunchBox Ladies program to focus on community bank funding

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — For its next discussion, Lehigh Valley LaunchBox powered by Penn State’s LaunchBox Ladies series will focus on the critical role community banks play in the world of entrepreneurism.

The virtual program, “Community Banks Small Business Funding Opportunity,” will take place Thursday, March 3, from noon to 1:15 p.m. on Zoom, and is open to the campus community and general public.

The event’s panel will feature three local banking professionals discussing ways that small businesses and start-ups can take advantage of the myriad funding opportunities provided by community banks.

The program’s featured panelists will be:

  • Dinoli Rowlands, regional business banking relationship manager at PNC Bank;
  • June Webre, regional banking initiatives officer with Essa Bank;
  • Alex Richardson, commercial banker with American Bank.

Viacmely Jimenez, senior psychology major and business minor at Penn State Lehigh Valley, will serve as the program’s student moderator. And PSU-LV Chancellor Tina Q. Richardson will provide opening remarks.
