CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — Continuing its commitment to the broader community, Penn State Lehigh Valley’s Ronald K. De Long Gallery will host this year’s Parkland Art League Members Exhibition.

The exhibit will run Monday, May 23, to Friday, July 8, when the De Long Gallery will hold a closing reception from 1 to 3 p.m. Free and open to the public, the reception also will include an awards ceremony beginning at 2 p.m.

All told, the exhibit will feature work from 21 regional member artists of the Parkland Art League.

“It is a pleasure to host this exhibition that is open to all Parkland Art League members,” said PSU-LV Gallery Director and Arts Coordinator Ann Lalik. “Some are seasoned exhibiting artists and some are newer to the world of showing their work.”

Formed in 1963, the Parkland Art League is currently made up of more than 80 members. In addition to exhibiting the work of members, the group is committed to encouraging friendship among artists, awakening and sustaining interest in art, offering the public the chance to purchase original art, and providing opportunities for artists to advance their skills through its regular workshops and library of instructional videos.

Gallery hours for the De Long Gallery are Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
