Penn State Lehigh Valley commencement exercises to be held Saturday, May 4

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — Penn State Lehigh Valley will hold its annual commencement ceremony at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 4, at ArtsQuest Center at Steelstacks in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The campus will award associate and bachelor's degrees to 111 students.

A YouTube LIVE channel has been created again for this year's commencement ceremony, where parents, friends and family who cannot make it to ArtsQuest on May 4 can livestream the ceremony. This link also can be accessed on right-hand side of the Lehigh Valley campus homepage.

The featured speaker for the event is Bill Spence, CEO of Allentown-based PPL Corp. and a Penn State alumnus.

Business administration student Samuel Azzalina will speak as the 2019 student marshal.

Graduates and their friends and families are invited to share their commencement memories on social media using #PSULVGRAD.

Spence is chairman, president and chief executive officer of PPL Corp., one of the largest investor-owned utility companies in the U.S. With more than three decades of experience in the utility industry, Spence oversees PPL’s regulated utilities in the United States and the United Kingdom. Spence graduated from Penn State’s College of Earth and Mineral Sciences with a bachelor of science degree in petroleum and natural gas engineering. He currently serves on several nonprofit boards, industry boards and committees. Spence resides in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
