The campus community gathered together on Nov. 16 in Centre Hall to organize the donated items into grocery bags before they were delivered to the Sixth Street Shelter.
Every November for the past several years, the Office of Student Affairs spearheads the Annual Penn State Lehigh Valley Thanksgiving Food Drive to benefit the Sixth Street Shelter in Allentown. This year our efforts will help feed 47 families residing at the shelter. This community service project is a true collaborative effort between our students, faculty and staff.Each of our clubs and organizations donates a specific type and amount of canned or boxed goods. One of our student groups, the LAN club, goes above and beyond each year, donating over 100 canned items.
