Intercollegiate athletics programs at Penn State’s 19 Commonwealth Campuses have entered into a four-year partnership with Nike through BSN Sports for sports apparel and equipment.
The retailing and sales industries have experienced seismic changes in recent years and an organization has been resurrected to help navigate the new landscape: The Council for Retail and Sales is back and now at the Penn State Lehigh Valley campus.
Cael Sanderson, Penn State's head wrestling coach, will be the special guest of the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association on July 28 at the Holiday Inn Conference Center in Breinigsville. The event will include a tailgate-style buffet and a silent auction. All proceeds will benefit the Penn State Lehigh Valley scholarship fund.
Penn State Lehigh Valley hosted its largest golf outing to date at its sixth annual golf tournament on June 4 at Northampton Country Club in Easton. In all, 110 golfers participated in support of student scholarships at the campus. The event raised enough money to endow the newly established Penn State Lehigh Valley Golf Tournament Open Doors Scholarship.
The Lehigh Valley Writing Project will offer a specialist certificate in teaching writing and literacy for educators from all content areas this fall. The 15-credit postbaccalaureate program is designed to afford educators deep study in all aspects of teaching literacy.

Fatzinger announced at the tournament that moving forward the tournament will now be named the “Penn State Lehigh Valley Howard Kulp Invitational Golf tournament,” after Kulp.
