Jacqueline McLaughlin, associate professor of biology at Penn State Lehigh Valley, has been appointed to serve in the 2017 Jefferson Science Fellowship program by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.

Christopher Bukavich, junior information science and technology student at Penn State Lehigh Valley, recently interned at Guardian Life Insurance Company of America and said it helped him extend concepts he learned in class. "The time I spent at Guardian helped me focus and learn what skills I will be expected to have when I graduate, and gave me a great network with professionals and other college students," said Bukavich.
Thirteen veterans, including Tom Roney, participated in a Habitat for Humanity build in September 2016 in the Quang Nam province in Vietnam. Veterans represented the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, and the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
