After completing a BIO 240W Function and Development of Organisms lab involving chick embryos last year, lab partners Yeniffer Arguello and Joanna Haddad were inspired by their professor, Jacqueline McLaughlin, to take the lab’s topic to the next level.
Yeniffer Arguello, left, and Joanna Haddad, right, stood in front of their research project with faculty mentor Jacqueline McLaughlin when presenting at DeSales University this spring.
The camp culminated with a special viewing party showcase of the students’ video packages for their family and the broader community on Aug. 12 at ArtsQuest. Liz Keptner, right, director of Penn State Lehigh Valley’s Multimedia Innovation Center (MIC) and Amber Campbell, left, videographer and editor for the MIC, ran the camp and spoke during the viewing party.
Disney recording Star, Sabrina Carpenter, spoke at a news conference during Musikfest. The video camp students attended and asked questions of the star as part of their camp experience.
For the second year, Penn State Lehigh Valley was the only university in the area with this behind the scenes access, which allowed campers to gain hands-on video production experience at Musikfest.
