TLT to host Virtual Symposium Lite to complement the 2024 TLT Symposium

Penn State Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) has announced that its virtual Symposium Lite will return on March 28, the week after the in-person TLT Symposium. The half-day event will feature four 30-minute, prerecorded presentations followed by 15-minute, live facilitated discussions with presenters.

Penn State professor leads virtual exchange program with Serbian university

Andjela Kaur, assistant teaching professor of rehabilitation and human services at Penn State Lehigh Valley, recently completed an Experiential Digital Global Engagement (EDGE) project with students from her employment strategies for people with disabilities course and partners from the University of Novi Sad, Serbia. EDGE is a project-based international virtual exchange program adapted from the State University of New York’s Collaborative Online International Learning program.

Penn State Lehigh Valley hosts 2024 Dance for a Cure to benefit THON

Dancers at all experience levels showed off their best moves and learned some new steps at the 2024 Dance for a Cure at Penn State Lehigh Valley on Jan. 27. The annual event organized by the Penn State Alumni Society raises funds for THON Weekend, the 46-hour dance marathon benefiting Four Diamonds, a charity that supports children with cancer. This year’s event was the biggest in its 12-year history, earning $19,000 to date.

K-12 educators interested in learning more about artificial intelligence (AI) as it relates to student learning will find a wealth of information — and how to apply it in a classroom setting — in a new course through the Lehigh Valley Writing Project at Penn State Lehigh Valley.

Penn State campuses celebrate, commemorate Black History Month

The last week of February 2024 still offers a few events across campuses for Black History Month, including at Penn State Brandywine, Harrisburg, Dickinson Law, Lehigh Valley, Shenango, and York. In addition, several exhibits are still available to visitors at Penn State University Park, Brandywine and Harrisburg.
