Men's basketball drops OT nail biter to Penn State York, 89-88

The Penn State Lehigh Valley men's basketball team trailed by as many as 22 points before making a hard fought run in the fourth quarter to push the game into overtime before losing by one point 89-88 to host Penn State York on Jan. 23.

Junior Zach Thomas had the game tying 3-point shot in regulation to send the game into OT. Senior AJ Moletierre had the chance to win it with a buzzer beater shot at the end of regulation, but the shot rimmed out. Junior Jeremiah Jenkins led with 22 points. Zach Thomas netted 20 points. Senior Tarvis Gilbert added 17 points and junior James Middleton chipped in with 10 points.

Women's basketball comes from behind to down Penn State York, 76-60

The Penn State Lehigh Valley women's basketball team trailed by as many as 15 points before going on a late in the third quarter run to push ahead of PSUAC foe Penn State York, 76-60, on Jan. 23. With the win, Lehigh Valley improves to 10-5 overall and 7-1 in PSUAC play.

Sophomore Ebony Sanders had a strong inside game scoring 30 points with 22 points coming in the second half along with 19 rebounds. Senior Andrea Watkins netted 13 points and senior Hannah Bankes chipped in with 10 points.

Penn State Lehigh Valley men's basketball beat Penn State New Kensington on Jan. 26 with junior James Middleton scoring 17 points.

Men's basketball downs Penn State New Kensington, 81-63

The Penn State Lehigh Valley men's basketball team led from start to finish in a 81-63 win over host Penn State New Kensington on Jan. 26. With the win, Lehigh Valley improves to 5-5 in conference play and 6-9 overall with 6 games remaining.

Four players were in double digits, led by junior James Middleton with 17 points, Zach Thomas and Jeremiah Jenkins netted 16 points, AJ Moletierre chipped in with 11 points.

Men's basketball downs Penn State Fayette, 91-85

The Penn State Lehigh Valley men's basketball team won their second straight game with a 91-85 win over Penn State Fayette on Jan. 27. With the win, Lehigh Valley improves to 7-9 overall and 6-5 in conference play. They are currently tied for fifth place in the PSUAC standings with 5 games remaining.

Lehigh Valley was lead with the sharpshooting of senior Tarvis Gilbert with 23 points, junior Jeremiah Jenkins added 19 points, senior AJ Molettiere added 16 points and junior James Middleton chipped in with 15 points.

Women's basketball flies by Penn State Fayette, 113-53

The Penn State Lehigh Valley Women's Basketball team controlled the game from start to finish to win its 5th straight game with a 113-53 win over host Penn State Fayette on Jan. 27. With the win, the team improves to 11-5 overall and 8-1 in conference play. 

Senior Hannah Bankes netted a game-high 29 points, sophomore Ebony Sanders added 20 points and 16 rebounds, senior Andrea Watkins chipped in with 15 points and first year Anaya White had a season-high 12 points.
