At the turn of the 20th century, the kinetoscope was introduced to the world, and with that, a new form of entertainment was born: cinema. Since then, the cinema has become a way of life. Many use it for artistic expression and others for spectacle. But one thing is certain: The movies bring people together.

Nov. 1: Douglas Peters, Lehigh Valley Historian, will present "Lehigh Valley Transit Co.: The History of Lehigh Valley Trolleys." At one time, there were about 200 miles of trolley track in the region. The Liberty Bell Route connected Allentown and Philadelphia. With open track laid away from roadways, the route was the fastest way to get to Philly.
