Student Marshal

George Mamary has been selected as Penn State Lehigh Valley spring 2026 Student Marshal. 

 

George is a first-generation college student who grew up in Allentown, PA. At PSU-LV, George developed a strong passion for the IT field through different courses and work experience. He was actively involved with PSU-LV's first-generation honor society, Tri-Alpha. George was also a student worker in the Strategic Communications department, where he helped enhance the campus' website.

 

During his time at PSU-LV, George created strong relationships with many faculty and staff members. Dr. Maung K. Min was an influential mentor to George, who taught him about important management and leadership practices. George also expanded his understanding of the IT field under Mary Kotch, a lecturer in cybersecurity analytics and operations. He completed an IT risk internship with Core Specialty Insurance Holdings, Inc., where he gained experience in data analysis and risk management.

 

George plans to work in IT while preparing for law school after graduation, pursuing a career that combines technology and law.
