Hanes visited with nine-year-old Kedar Narayann, who is one of the Lehigh Valley LaunchBox grant recipients, at the Invent Penn State in the Capitol Day on Feb. 5 in Harrisburg. Narayann was displaying his game Codeylocks, which helps kids learn algorithms and how to code.
Jacqueline McLaughlin, associate professor of biology at Penn State Lehigh Valley, has been appointed to serve in the 2017 Jefferson Science Fellowship program by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine. Penn State President Eric Barron nominated McLaughlin for the fellowship.
