Penn State Lehigh Valley’s Work-Based Learning Program offers students a powerful head start on their careers, by combining academic excellence with meaningful internships, externships, and extended work experiences at partner organizations. This mutually-beneficial program creates a collaborative pathway between higher education and industry, ensuring students graduate with real-world skills and professional insight.
Through formal agreements with local and regional employers, students engage in work experiences that align with their academic programs and career goals. These immersive experiences are complemented by structured coursework focused on career readiness, communication, critical thinking, and leadership development.
