Join the Penn State Lehigh Valley Alumni Society for Dance for a Cure at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20, at MIXX Nightclub and Sport Lounge in Allentown.
The sixth annual dance fundraiser features dance lessons of different styles each hour starting at 7 p.m. Attendees are invited to learn dances such as east coast swing, country line, Irish step, hip hop and more. Plus, attendees will enjoy a catered buffet, a visit from the Nittany Lion, door prizes and silent auction items.
All proceeds from the unique event go to Penn State Lehigh Valley Benefiting THON.
The Penn State Lehigh Valley Benefiting THON committee will be represented by three dancers this year, Kenny Chang, Ethan Freiss and Emine Limani, who will dance continuously for 46 hours alongside about 700 other Penn State students during THON weekend from Feb. 16 to 18 at the Bryce Jordan Center in University Park. They will raise money for pediatric cancer research and treatments as well as celebrate the lives of those who have lost their battle. Money raised from THON is donated to Four Diamonds at Penn State Children's Hospital.
