Women's volleyball falls at Union County Community College, 3-0

The Penn State Lehigh Valley volleyball team dropped a nonconference match-up to host Union County Community College on Sept. 10. Despite a slow start in set 1 with a score of 25-13, Lehigh Valley picked up steam in set 2 and 3 dropping those sets with scores of 25-16 and 25-19.

Junior Ebony Sanders had a team-high five kills, four blocks and three service aces. Freshman Adriana Leon chipped in with 2 assists and 13 digs. Senior Natasha Leon contributed with 3 assists, 2 service aces and 7 digs.  

Golf places 8th at Dickinson Fall Invitational

The total score for Penn State Lehigh Valley was 343, 55 over par. Evan Fahs led the Penn State Lehigh Valley team with a score of 80.  

Women's soccer drops to Bryn Athyn College

The Penn State Lehigh Valley Women’s Soccer team made history on Sept. 13 by competing in their first match as a team at Penn State Lehigh Valley. The team played NCAA Division III Bryn Athyn College. Despite great effort, the team lost 12-0. Morgan McDonald had two shots on goal and Brooke Brumbach and Jatnna Vargas had four and five saves each at goal.

Women's volleyball drops home opener to Penn State Scranton, 3-1

The Penn State Lehigh Valley Women's Volleyball team lost their home opener against Penn State Scranton on Thursday evening at William Allen High School. This was the team’s first conference game of the season.

Scranton took a 2-0 set lead (25-23, 25-19) going into the third set, but Lehigh Valley would not back down and rallied back to win set 3 (25-18). Despite a great effort in set 4, Lehigh Valley could not hold on and lost the final set 25-20 to suffer their first conference loss.

Ebony Sanders continues to dominate for Lehigh Valley contributing three kills, a game high 23 digs, and seven service aces. Natasha Leon chipped in with six service aces and 10 digs.

Men's Soccer falls in season opener at Bryn Athyn, 5-1.

The Penn State Lehigh Valley Men's Soccer team dropped their season opener and first ever intercollegiate contest against Bryn Athyn College, 5-1, Thursday night in Bryn Athyn. 

Bobby Shoemaker put Penn State Lehigh Valley on the board at 73:22 on a loose ball in the Bryn Athyn penalty area and snuck the ball inside the right post. Trevor Rockwell finished with five saves in the first half, while Nick Miller had three saves during the second half. Bryn Athyn outshot Penn State Lehigh Valley 18-12 and had a 6-4 edge in corner kicks.

Men's Soccer Falls at Manor College, 5-2.

The Penn State Lehigh Valley Men's Soccer team dropped a nonconference match-up at Manor College, 5-2, Saturday afternoon in Jenkintown. 

Lehigh Valley's CJ Semet scored his first and second goals of the season in the first half to tie Manor College 2-2. Manor College then scored three straight goals to take the 5-2 victory. Trevor Rockwell recorded six saves in goal and Nick Miller recorded four saves.

Women's volleyball trips up at Penn State Hazleton, 3-0

The Penn State Lehigh Valley Women's Volleyball team fell at PSUAC host Penn State Hazleton, 3-0, on Sunday afternoon in Hazleton.  

Lehigh Valley lost in three sets with scores of 25-10, 25-19 and 25-15. Ebony Sanders led the team with nine kills and 10 digs. Adriana Leon chipped in with four assists.
