Men's soccer falls to Penn State Beaver, 6-1
The Penn State Lehigh Valley men's soccer fell to visiting Penn State Beaver, 6-1, Sept. 22 at Cedar Crest College. With the loss, Lehigh Valley drops to 3-4 overall and 2-1 in PSUAC play. Beaver held a 2-1 lead going into halftime. Lehigh Valley's Justin Evans scored at the 22nd minute to put Lehigh Valley on the board. Beaver would score four straight goals in the second half to take the win. Lehigh Valley's goalkeeper Trevor Rockwell recorded 22 saves on the day.
Men's soccer falls to one of the top JuCo teams in the country
The Penn State Lehigh Valley (PSU-LV) men's soccer team hosted one of the best Junior College Men's Soccer programs in the country Sept. 24 at Penn State Lehigh Valley campus. Essex County Community College from New Jersey is a junior college men's soccer powerhouse and they proved that this afternoon downing PSU-LV 16-1. Majed Salama scored the lone goal for Lehigh Valley in the first half. Lehigh Valley goalkeeper, Trevor Rockwell, had plenty of action this afternoon, making 18 saves on season high 34 shots at goal.
Women's soccer falls to Essex County Community College
The Penn State Lehigh Valley women's soccer team fell to a tough visiting non-conference opponent Essex County Community College, 19-2, Sept. 24 at the Lehigh Valley campus. Jenna Bonker scored twice for Lehigh Valley in the first half. Caitlin Slack recorded eight saves in the goal for Lehigh Valley.
