Women's soccer gets program's first-ever victory with 5-3 win over Penn State Schuylkill

Penn State Lehigh Valley (PSU-LV) women's soccer first-year Head Coach Scott Cullen, and the 2019 team has made history by earning the program's first-ever win with a 5-3 win over PSUAC opponent Penn State Schuylkill on Sept. 19. With the win, Lehigh Valley improves to 1-2 overall and a 1-0 record in the PSUAC. First-year Jenna Bonker also made history by scoring the program's first-ever goals, recording five on the day. The Penn State Lehigh Valley women's soccer team is only in its second intercollegiate season and Coach Cullen's first season with PSU-LV.

Women's volleyball defeats Penn State Wilkes-Barre, 3-0

The Penn State Lehigh Valley women's volleyball team picked up its fourth win of the season and its second PSUAC win with a 3-0 victory over host Penn State Wilkes-Barre Sept. 18 in Wilkes-Barre. Lehigh Valley dominated each the three sets by scores of 25-13, 25-7 and 25-6. Jillian Cope led the way for Lehigh Valley with seven kills and a game high 12 serving aces. Adriana Leon chipped in with 17 assists.

Lehigh Valley is now 4-2 overall and 2-1 in the PSUAC.

Men's soccer slips up against Manor College, 5-1

The Penn State Lehigh Valley men's soccer team scored within the first three minutes of the game but visiting nonconference opponent Manor College would run away with the contest, 5-1. Lehigh Valley drops to 2-3 overall. Lehigh Valley's Creyn Muthard had an assist to Justin Evans for Lehigh Valley's lone goal.

Women's volleyball outlasts Penn State Hazleton, 3-1

The Penn State Lehigh Valley Women's Volleyball team improved to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the PSUAC with a 3-1 win over visiting Penn State Hazleton Sept. 16 in Allentown. Lehigh Valley won sets one and two (26-24, 25-18) before Hazleton rallied back to win a wild set three (27-25). Lehigh Valley would not back down and would go on to win set four 25-22 to earn the conference win.

Ebony Sanders led Lehigh Valley with a game-high 17 kills. Jillian Cope added 12 kills and Adriana Leon had a monster night with a game-high 30 assists.

Men's soccer downs Penn State Wilkes-Barre, 5-2 

The Penn State Lehigh Valley men's soccer team recorded its first PSUAC win of the season and second straight with a 5-2 win over visiting Penn State Wilkes-Barre Sept. 11 in Center Valley. Lehigh Valley's Majed Salama recorded a season-high three goals. Creyn Muthard and Fadi Farah each recorded their first goals of the season.

Men's soccer falls to Penn State Beaver, 6-1

The Penn State Lehigh Valley men's soccer fell to visiting Penn State Beaver, 6-1, on Sept. 22 at Cedar Crest College. With the loss, Lehigh Valley drops to 3-4 overall and 2-1 in PSUAC play. Beaver held a 2-1 lead going into halftime. Lehigh Valley's Justin Evans scored at the 22nd minute to put Lehigh Valley on the board. Beaver would score four straight goals in the second half to take the win. Lehigh Valley's goalkeeper Trevor Rockwell recorded 22 saves on the day.

Women's volleyball falls to Penn State Brandywine, 3-1

The Penn State Lehigh Valley women's volleyball played visiting rival Penn State Brandywine tough in a 3-1 loss. Each set could of went either way with Lehigh Valley winning set 1 (25-18). Brandywine would take control the next three sets winning 25-15, 25-23, 25-22. Ebony Sanders led Lehigh Valley with 11 kills. Jillian Cope added six kills and Adriana Leon recorded 22 assists.

Women's soccer trips up against Penn State Beaver

Visiting Penn State Beaver scored four goals per half to down Penn State Lehigh Valley, 8-0, Sept. 22 at Cedar Crest College. Lehigh Valley goalkeepers, Chelsea Lopez and Hannah Irvin, had six saves a piece. Lehigh Valley drops to 1-3 overall and 1-1 in PSUAC play.

Men's soccer downs Penn State Greater Allegheny,1-0, in overtime

The Penn State Lehigh Valley men's soccer team improved to 2-0 in PSUAC play and 3-3 overall with a nail biting 1-0 win in overtime against visiting Penn State Greater Allegheny on Sept. 21 at Cedar Crest College's turf field. The game was scoreless after 90 minutes and within 2 minutes of overtime freshman Mohammad Abdalla got a pass from teammate Creyn Muthard and nailed it past the Greater Allegheny goalkeeper to gain the victory for PSU-LV. This would be Abdalla's first goal of the season. Winning goalkeeper Alexandre Traca who was filling in for Trevor Rockwell made two saves on the day.

Women's volleyball sweeps Penn State York, 3-0

The Penn State Lehigh Valley (LV) volleyball team won its third straight game with a 3-0 sweep of visiting Penn State York on Sept. 21. Penn State York put up a fight as each of the three sets were close (25-22, 25-16, 25-23) but Lehigh Valley would prevail. With the win, Lehigh Valley improves to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in PSUAC play.

Ebony Sanders led the way for LV with 12 kills and 19 digs. Jillian Cope and Bridget Jones chipped in with seven kills apiece. Adriana Leon recorded 28 assists.
