CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — Penn State Lehigh Valley Career Services hosted a Senior Chat Session on Oct. 17 to inform students about the benefits of using LinkedIn to make connections with other professionals, and to find jobs, internships and more.

“My biggest take away was learning about how to set up a LinkedIn page. It was very helpful,” said John Lahutsky, a senior majoring in corporate communication.

About a dozen students who attended were able to ask questions about LinkedIn’s features and how they could use them to improve their profiles to catch the attention of potential employers.

“We want to make sure that students have jobs and/or plans for graduate school upon graduation,” said Jessica Dow, careers services coordinator at Penn State Lehigh Valley, who ran the session. “We also want to make sure our students are prepared for their next steps in life beyond Penn State.”

The next Senior Chat Session will be held over common hour from 12:15-1:15 p.m. on Nov. 14 in room 224. For more information or to sign up, contact Jessica Dow at 610-285-5002 or [email protected]. While the event is meant for seniors, all grades are welcome.
