Campus Arts Initiative hosting community workshops

Two September workshops scheduled for Spotted Lanternfly Zones of Syncopation (SFZ)

The “Spotted Lanternfly Zones of Syncopation” (SFZ) project is hosting upcoming workshops on Sept. 28 and Sept. 29 for community members who want to get involved.

The community is invited to participate in the “Spotted Lanternfly Zones of Syncopation” (SFZ) by attending upcoming workshops later this month. The community public art project is being led by Penn State Lehigh Valley.

Penn State Lehigh Valley partnered with visiting artist Elsabé Dixon to create environmentally proactive art about the invasive spotted lanternfly through Penn State's Campus Arts Initiative. The SFZ project will explore the infestation of the spotted lanternfly.

The community is invited to attend free workshops with Dixon to learn how they can contribute (Art skills are not required):

Saturday Sept. 28, noon to 2 p.m.
The Baum School of Art - 510 Linden Street, Allentown

Saturday Sept. 28, 3 to 5 p.m.
Allentown Arts Fest - Cedar Beach Park, 79 N Ott Street, Allentown

Sunday Sept. 29, 3 to 5 p.m.
The Cave Brewing Co.- (South Mall) 3300 Lehigh Street, Allentown
