Following last week’s presidential election, students, faculty and staff across the University have been organizing informal gatherings, round-tables and panel sessions to discuss this year’s election, related media coverage and the results. Here is a look at some of the discussions that have happened and are scheduled to take place.
The Penn State Lehigh Valley Blue and White Society and the Business Society collaborated on the first annual Career Café on Nov. 15. Students, faculty and staff who attended the session learned how to sell themselves using resumes. The Career Café consisted of multiple panelists who offered advice on self-marketing and professional resume construction.
The Lambda Pi Eta chapter at Penn State Lehigh Valley held a holiday stocking drive for soldiers overseas this holiday season. Donations and stuffed stockings will benefit Soldiers’ Angels in San Antonio, Texas.
Sixteen faculty members representing various campuses, colleges, and General Education areas at Penn State, have been named General Education Faculty Fellows. The General Education Faculty Fellows Program is a new initiative of the recently created Office for General Education.

The annual Thanksgiving food drive at Penn State Lehigh Valley was such a success that after purchasing enough food to feed nearly 50 families the campus was able to donate more than $1,200 to the Sixth Street Shelter in Allentown.
