The Penn State Lehigh Valley men's soccer team made it to playoffs for the first time since the program began.

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — An update on the latest Penn State Lehigh Valley men's soccer and women's volleyball teams:

Lehigh Valley men's soccer clinches the program's first-ever playoff berth with win over Penn State Mont Alto, 7-1

The Penn State Lehigh Valley men's soccer team made history on Oct. 20 with a 7-1 win over visiting Penn State Mont Alto to clinch the program’s first-ever PSUAC playoff berth. There was an array of Lehigh Valley players to get in the scoring column: Majed Salama, two goals, CJ Semet, two goals, Matthew Holderith, two goals and Patrick Reily, one goal.  The program, under head coach Abe Mamari, is only in its second season and first season intercollegiate, last season the program was a club team. The team will be the No. 6 seed and will travel to No. 3 Penn State New Kensington on Wednesday. With a win, they will advance to the PSUAC Final Four and will travel to No. 2 Penn State Beaver on Saturday.

Women's volleyball trips up at Penn State Brandywine, 3-0

The Penn State Lehigh Valley women's volleyball team dropped their last regular season PSUAC game against host Penn State Brandywine, 3-0, on Oct. 17 in Media. Brandywine controlled the tempo winning all three sets with scores of 25-14, 25-9, 25-13.  Ebony Sanders led Lehigh Valley with 6 kills and 6 digs.  Adriana Leon chipped in with four helpers.  

Lehigh Valley has clinched a PSUAC playoff berth for the fifth straight year and the first under first year head coach Tim Lutterschmidt. The team will travel to Penn State Brandywine Wednesday, Oct. 24, where they face No. 1 seeded Penn State Brandywine.

Women's volleyball wins second straight with 3-2 win over Penn State York

The Penn State Lehigh Valley women's volleyball team won its second straight PSUAC game with a 3-2 nail-biting win over visiting Penn State York on Oct. 14 in Allentown. York came out of the gates winning the first set 25-16 and the third set 25-11, but Lehigh Valley battled back to win set 2, 25-15, set 4, 25-16 and outlast York in set five winning 15-12.

Ebony Sanders had a monster day at the net recording a game-high 19 kills and 8 service aces. Adriana Leon contributed with 12 assists and sister Natasha Leon chipped in with 7 assists and 4 service aces. The Penn State Lehigh Valley Athletics Department recognizes and thanks the lone senior, Natasha Leon, for her commitment and contributions the last four years to the Lehigh Valley women's volleyball team.

Men's soccer stumbles against Penn State New Kensington, 3-1

The Penn State men's soccer team came up short against western PSUAC visitor Penn State New Kensington, 3-1, on Oct. 14 at Iron Lakes Sports Club. Ryan Wolff scored the lone goal for Lehigh Valley.

Women's volleyball defeats Penn State Wilkes Barre, 3-1

The Penn State Lehigh women's volleyball team picked up its fourth PSUAC win with a 3-1 victory over host Penn State Wilkes Barre on Oct. 13. Ebony Sanders had a game-high 16 kills to go along with 7 service aces. Natasha Leon contributed a good stat line as well with 3 kills, 7 assists and 7 service aces. 

Men's soccer stumbles at Penn State Beaver, 10-3

The Penn State Lehigh Valley men's soccer team dropped a PSUAC match-up to host Penn State Beaver, 10-3, on Oct. 13 in Western Pennsylvania. CJ Semet scored two goals for Lehigh Valley, one assisted by Mario Blot and the other unassisted. Mario Blot had a goal of his own that was assisted by Elijah Silfies.  

Women's Volleyball stumbles against Penn State Hazleton, 3-0

The Penn State Lehigh Valley women's volleyball team kept each set close with scores of 25-20, 25-12, 25-21, but it was not enough to withstand visiting Penn State Hazleton on Oct. 15 in Allentown. Ebony Sanders led with a game-high 11 kills.

Lehigh Valley co-ed golf's Brian Zinman and Evan Fahs named All-Conference for top 5 finishes

At the PSUAC/USCAA Championships at University Park on Oct. 8-9, Brian Zinman and Evan Fahs were named All-Conference for top 5 finishes.
