Mariachi Citlalli visited Penn State Lehigh Valley on Sept. 19 to perform for students, faculty and staff in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month.

There was a display set up showing all of the Hispanic countries. This display featured influential people who came from Hispanic countries. The display will be kept up for about a week.

The Office of Student Life organized this event to encourage students, faculty and staff to celebrate and participate in National Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15.

"We are so happy to have programs that recognize National Hispanic Heritage Month. We were also happy to have an authentic Mariachi band to perform for all the students, faculty and staff,” said Pam Fleck, assistant director of student affairs at Penn State Lehigh Valley. "Events like this celebrate the diversity found at Penn State Lehigh Valley."
