About the Exhibit...
Penn State Lehigh Valley celebrated the opening of its new art gallery with an exhibit featuring the artistic architecture of Howard Kulp and Howard Kulp Architects, P.C.
The inaugural exhibit featured images of some of Howard Kulp Architect's most artistic designs, many of which were recognizable to the Lehigh Valley community, where Kulp has based his business for more than three decades. Among the examples are images of Melt, the modern Italian eatery located at the Promenade Shops in Saucon Valley, the AAA East Penn building in Allentown, and the new Penn State Lehigh Valley library.
"I have always approached architectural design with the idea that you can create something beautiful, even artistic, using science and math," says Kulp, a Penn State alumnus.
"Having been instrumental in helping the campus make this new facility 'Penn State,' it is very fitting to celebrate the opening of this gallery space by also celebrating the creativity and beauty of Howard's, and his firm's, work," says Ann Lalik, curator of the exhibit and gallery coordinator at Penn State Lehigh Valley.
