Former federal agent to guide Lehigh Valley’s new Criminal Justice program

After serving as a full-time lecturer at Penn State Berks for the past six years, Debra Dreisbach was recently hired to be the program coordinator for Penn State Lehigh Valley's new Criminal Justice program. Prior to her career in academia, Dreisbach spent 25 years in federal law enforcement, serving as a special agent with the Office of Inspector General, FBI and Secret Service.

Renowned scholar returns to Lehigh Valley for timely lecture on Ukraine, COVID

Internationally recognized scholar Marijana Grbeša Zenzerović of the University of Zagreb in Croatia recently returned to Penn State Lehigh Valley to deliver the lecture "Communication in Times of Crisis: A Critical Take on the Pandemic and War in Ukraine." Grbeša Zenzerović served as the campus’ first visiting scholar and professor during the fall 2018 semester.

Penn State President-elect Neeli Bendapudi visited Penn State Lehigh Valley on Monday, April 18, as part of her listening tour to meet with students, faculty and staff across Penn State’s campuses. During her tour stop, President-elect Bendapudi met in separate town hall-style sessions with staff and faculty, community partners (including advisory board members, alumni, and government and business leaders) and students.

Penn State campus climate survey to close on April 22

Penn State's sexual misconduct climate survey will close on April 22. The survey was sent to a random sample of students at all Penn State campuses; students can check their Penn State email for a link to complete the survey. The University-wide survey is designed to assess issues of sexual assault, misconduct and harassment.

Lehigh Valley students collaborate with faculty on COVID-themed journal article

Eileen Grodziak, instructional designer and adjunct lecturer at Penn State Lehigh Valley, is always looking for unique ways to engage students in her First-Year Experience courses. During the fall 2020 semester, Grodziak and students collaborated with the Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence on a research article on first-year student engagement during COVID-19.
